In a world, where peace is the most prevalent thing that a person will say that they desire, all too often the behavior of that same individual is not at all in line with what they are saying they desire.
How often do we hear people being in judgment of others and yet that same person wishes for a world of peace. Until we take responsibility for the beginning of peace it is clear to me that we will never begin to experience that peace.
Would it be too hard to remind someone, who is attempting to enroll you in a conversation involving a judgment of someone else, who is not there to defend him or herself that you would prefer that they stop? This might just be the beginning of peacemaking right here.
Conversely, if you should catch yourself in one of those similar types of conversations, you could simply stop; tell the person with whom you are engaged in conversation, that you have changed your mind about the content of the conversation; and move on to a more productive topic.
Desires for peace are so prevalent in this world today. It is my observation that the main reason we are not experiencing the peace we choose to see is that we are not setting the example of peace within our individual lives. When we choose to be peaceful and act and talk in ways that are congruent with that peace we say we want, then we will begin to experience more of that peace flowing around us. We must take responsibility for what it is we want to see.
