Why am I doing this? Why am I feeling that? Why am I experiencing this? Why am I holding onto this belief? Why? Why? Why? So often the choices I am making in my day are those of an automatic nature. I brush my teeth. I comb my hair. I put my clothes on. I pray. What if I became conscious? Conscious of everything I am doing? How would I behave differently?
Let me slow down and experience life as it is meant to be. I’ll begin by being deliberate in my breathing. I feel the difference already. Now I feel an energy coursing through my being; a feeling of being alive, such as I have never felt before. Now, I understand what it feels like to be present. Now I experience the gift of conscious choice. I’ve got this.
The power, in this time, is remembering. Remembering our true, authentic self; the Being that entered this world in a state of innocence; the One who adopted so many limiting beliefs; the Spirit who is now in a place of remembering; who is willing to let go of those limiting beliefs and soar with the magnificence that is within. This is our gift to share, with our Universe, one Being at a time. This is a time of conscious choice. I’ve got this.
Let’s see, do I want to have a good day or a fabulous day? This is a no brainer for me. In order for me to ramp it up to be a fabulous day there are some things I must do. First and foremost is being in the space of fabulous. To get there I only have to think about all of the “fabulous” things in my life; like where I live; like my sweet Harry; like our home; like my family. Do you get the gist?
Now I turn my attention to what I choose to create today and clarify my intention toward everything surrounding that. What is it going to look like when I create my dream for today? How am I going to feel when it is done? I’ll get into all those great feelings and just savor them for a few minutes. Yes! Already I am getting really excited to begin this day and start my new creation. Now I am going to take a deep breath and dive in! Yeah! I’ve got this.
It is simple. If it doesn’t feel right then it is wrong. If the way I am being doesn’t match the way that I truly feel then it is not working. It is time to re-establish my beliefs and sort through all those that are not serving me well. In a world where so many egos are fighting for recognition it is time to be totally prudent and honest with ourselves as to our absolute, authentic beings. When things are not manifesting, the way that we think we want them to, it is time to re-evaluate our inner truths.
Only we know what we feel inside and can delineate between what those feeling are. Now, more than any time in our world, authenticity is called for. We, as human beings, are far smarter than we give ourselves credit for. We are sensitive to how we are responding to our world and in that sensitivity we must honor our truth. This is the only way we can determine between right and wrong. I’ve got this.
The title says it all. So long as I come from this position, in dealing with any weight concern, I may as well give up. What’s that I said? Give up? Close! The words I have found more productive in my “battle of the bulge” are more like, acceptance and letting go. Let’s face it I love to eat. I am going to eat and I choose to enjoy. So, here it is, I accept my body as it is today and let go of the need to criticize. Now I am free of the “battle” and my body responds and in turn teaches me what it needs in the way of nourishment. It is a win – win. I simply listen as my being guides me in my choices. Wow! It is a simple concept and yet it truly pays off. My exercise of choice is swimming – now I am off to do my laps.
